First test for the “G92 GTS” with 512 MB published
The official launch is not due to take place for a few days, but as always some pages 'accidentally' got hold of a graphics card of the new type and are already putting the first data online. The result was pretty clear.
The new GeForce 8800 GTS based on the G92 with 512 MB memory works very quickly as expected. The dual-slot cooling even ensures that it does its job cooler and quieter than a GeForce 8800 GT, despite a noticeably higher power requirement. If the previously assumed price of 299 to 349 US dollars applies, Nvidia will again create competition in-house. The new GTS should primarily attract customers with larger monitors (and more potent wallets) and the resolutions provided for them from 1600 x 1200 pixels, as the performance gains compared to the GT are greatest there. All further details can be found in the test of the GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB from our colleagues at TweakTown .
