EPoX 8KHA + with KT266A in the test: A mainboard like no other
Test system
Yes, this time we also opted for Windows 2000 (SP2) and the NVidia Detonator driver version 12.41 decided. Even if Windows XP is just around the corner and the Detonator 21.81 offers a lot more performance, we wanted to be able to compare the results achieved in this way again 100% with the old reviews. In the end, the rest of the system is also unchanged.

Benchmarks
Benchmarks: Most of the benchmarks will certainly be familiar to hardworking regular readers. SiSoft Sandra continues to take a critical look at the theoretical performance of the mainboard, with a whole range of benchmark tools and games to test the differences visible there for their effect in practice. A new addition is a test with the WinACE packer. Packing a 359MB folder with a wide variety of file formats demands a lot, especially from the storage interface, and should therefore also contribute to the objective formation of opinions from now on. Unfortunately, due to lack of time, we are not able to carry out the test retrospectively with every board that has been tested so far. As a representative of the 'old generations' we chose the predecessor of the 8KHA +, the 8KHA.
