Employees keep the KPNQwest network going

Although KPNQwest announced on Friday that the network would be shut down due to insolvency, apart from small break-ins on Sunday, no particular failures were detected. Fortunately, pessimists were wrong.

According to bankruptcy trustee Eddie Meijer, employees who had actually been made redundant receive the free of charge Maintain operation. Fortunately, electricity supplier Nuon has not stopped delivering electricity either - not yet. As it became known, employees and the Dutch investor group Trimoteur are said to have expressed their interest in a takeover. However, there is not much time left, as a deadline in France expires on Wednesday. In the beginning, the American company AT&T and the parent company KPN were under discussion as buyers. Today the bankruptcy trustees will meet again to possibly kick off KPNQuest in parts.
