Elsa modems with the new V.92 standard

Elsa is already delivering the first modems with the new V.92 standard this week. A modem from Elsa should cost less than 120 DM.

Unfortunately, no German Internet provider is yet equipped for the new transmission technology, so that the modems will initially only work with the V.90 firmware. An update to V.92 is then later possible free of charge. With the V.92 standard, the upload is 40% faster and the compression technique has been improved. Thus, the analog modem is getting closer to ISDN technology. In addition, the V.92 standard enables you to take a call while an Internet connection is active.
