The Southbridge

The functions of the 'Southbridge' also fall more or less r in the usual framework. The support of ATA33/66/100, six busmaster-capable PCI slots, 6 USB ports, AMR/CNR slots as well as integrated sound and modem are currently the standard. As an extra, however, SiS has also built in a network interface. On the other hand, buyers of the old ISA bus have to do without a board with SiS735. The bus did not find a way into the chip.
