DSL flat rate from NGI for 99 DM
The Internet provider Next Generation Internet (NGI) is now starting the new NGI DSL access with an old customer campaign. They receive an ADSL flat rate for DM 99 per month with a download speed of 1024 kbit/s and an upload speed of 256 kbit/s if they sign a contract by June 30, 2001.
NGI also guarantees that DSL access will be activated no later than 4 weeks after receipt of the order, provided that DSL is available. The most important thing besides some additional features is the activation of Fastpath. It is still unclear whether only old customers can benefit from this offer, as ex-NGI customers have also received this offer. According to an NGI press release, the DSL connection after June 30, 2001 costs 139 DM per month for a term of 12 months and 159 DM per month for a term of 6 months. More detailed information will be available from June 5th, 2001 on the NGI-DSL Homepage , from which it can already be seen that NGI-DSL will initially be available in 33 cities. Thus, this offer represents a further alternative to Telekom, but internet users from rural regions still get nothing.
