Does VIA skip the KT333?

Time and again it is The Inquirer who, with rumors from the hardware industry, make whole worlds collapse. Now they want to know that VIA will not bring the KT333 onto the market and will soon release the 2nd major revision of the KT333A.

The KT333, basically a KT266A that has only been expanded to include support for PC2700, will be therefore, despite the first models that have already been delivered to mainboard manufacturers, they cannot be brought to market. The KT333A, which, according to the latest reports, contains a major update, will therefore likely appear earlier. It supports AGP 8x and USB 2.0. The bandwidth of VIA's in-house connection, the 'V-Link', which was first introduced in the KT266, is to be increased from 266MB/s to 512MB/s. If the rumor is true, VIA will announce the move on February 20th.
