Does the Athlon 4 get an 'SSE +' extension?
There is another rumor about the Athlon 4 on the internet. Allegedly, the processor from AMD with a Palomino core is supposed to partially support the SSE instruction set of Intel's Pentium 4.
AMD is said to have developed an 'SSE +' extension that consists of the most important SSE1 and SSE2 commands and will officially be called '3D Now! Pro'. AMD has not yet confirmed the name 'Athlon 4' or the rumors about the SSE expansion.
