DDR3-2000 modules from A-Data
The timing screw does not stand still. Once again, the Taiwanese manufacturer A-Data dares to reach for the top performance in terms of DDR3 with its new 'Vitesta DDR3 2000X' modules based on Micron chips, which are set to an officially supported memory clock of effectively 2,000 MHz with timings of 9-9-9-24 bring.
As with the modules with 1,900 presented at the end of September MHz effective memory clock , the memory voltage to be applied is again extremely high with the new A-Data modules with 2.05 to 2.15 volts for DDR3 ratios (standard is 1.5 volts). Furthermore, the memory should be actively cooled, whereby A-Data recommends an 80 mm fan with 1,000 rpm. The platform is a current Intel processor that supports FSB2000, as well as an Asus Blitz Extreme or Asus Maximus Extreme motherboard from the Republic of Gamers family. However, those who hope for 2 GB modules will be disappointed. A-Data only offers dual-channel kits consisting of two 1 GB modules (128M x8 pin layout), which are probably less problematic at such high clock rates.
