'Cookie Cooker' - accept cookies without being recognized

Many people know the message well enough: 'The server xyz wants to set up a cookie'. You only have the choice between accept or reject. However, rejecting such a cookie means that some web offers are not displayed.

If you use cookies on the other hand recognizes one of the servers again the next time, so that the web server is able to create a personal file. A tool has now been developed by the Faculty of Computer Science at the TU Dresden, which at the same time allows the advantages of cookies, but is also intended to protect against the collection of personal data. To do this, the user slips into different identities, which means that no usable user profiles can be created. In principle, the cookie cooker exchanges the profiles of different users, making the data unusable for professional data collectors. The responsible developer Hannes Federrath will present this tool at CeBIT 2002 in Hanover.
