ComputerBaseTeam breaks the 20,000 WU limit
Three weeks before the self-set goal (year-end 2001), the ComputerBaseTeam team broke the magical 20,000 WU limit. It all started very simply. A request in the forum at the end of April 2001 whether anyone knew SETI @ home, and what they thought of it, got the stone or WU rolling.
As it turned out, some crunched for Seti, and so it became At the end of August 2001 the SETI @ home ComputerBaseTeam was launched. After about 6 weeks the team was 30 members strong and continued to grow. At the beginning of October 2001 we set ourselves the ambitious goal of 20,000 WU by the end of the year on our team counter.
Through With the help of the CBT members, who didn’t leave every tricky question unanswered, we were able to win more members for our team so that our team has grown to 80 members to this day. In view of the fact that the interest in SETI @ home increased more and more, we got our own forum in mid-November, in which everyone who wants to crunch with us can get help with the installation/optimization, and can contribute their own tips can compete with the other members in statistics. So if you are interested in keeping an eye out for the aliens with us, or are already crunching for Seti, everyone is welcome in our team.
