Celeron expires next year
From the beginning of 2002 the production of the Celeron is to be stopped. It will then be replaced by the Pentium III with a Tualatin core. The new Pentium III will then come onto the market with 1133 and 1266 MHz for the time being.
The Pentium III with Tualatin is expected to be available in stores as early as June of this year, although Intel is still expecting a release in the 4th quarter 2001 speaks. In order to further boost sales of the Pentium 4, Intel also wants the price of the 1.3 GHz Pentium 4 to drop below the $ 200 mark in the 2nd quarter of 2001, which is currently around 440 DM.
