CeBIT Home now finally ended

Deutsche Messe AG has finally declared the end of the CeBIT Home consumer fair. Since the trade fair has never been able to position itself between CeBIT and IFA in Berlin since it started in 1996 and the German games industry clearly rejected the trade fair concept, the end of the trade fair was in sight.

This year is already CeBIT Home, which was initially supposed to take place in Leipzig, fell through because there were simply too few exhibitors. However, since the games industry is locked out at CeBIT in Hanover, there are currently considerations to have the IFA take place annually instead of every two years as before, as this could ideally accommodate the private consumer area of CeBIT Home.
