But no more Windows XP SE?
There have been repeated rumors in the past about a revised Windows XP version that will go on sale under the name Windows XP Second Edition at the beginning of next year. Microsoft has now officially denied that such a Windows is planned.
For the time being, Microsoft will only release the first service pack for Windows XP in the fall and then start beta testing the successor with the code name Longhorn, via the we have already reported several times ( see also ). However, since Windows Longhorn is not planned before 2004, all Microsoft fans will wait in vain for a new operating system in 2003. Personally, however, I think that at least a second server pack for Windows XP can be expected next year.
