But no back door to Microsoft's server?

According to Microsoft, the bug in some products is not a 'back door', but rather an error in the dvwssr.dll. Thus, the ILS server, which is also affected by this bug, is not accessible to unauthorized persons with a universal password.

According to Microsoft, the bug in some products is not a 'back door' , but it is just an error in the dvwssr.dll. The ILS server, which is also affected by this bug, is therefore not accessible to unauthorized persons with a universal password. It is only a problem that occurs due to a buffer underrun in the dvwssr.dll and thus makes the server susceptible to DoS (Denial-of-Service) attacks. Microsoft is currently investigating whether this will also allow access to the ASP files (Active Server Pages) of the server.
