Bluetooth and USB 2.0 for Windows XP
Microsoft has announced that in the coming year the Windows XP operating system, which was released two months ago, will be updated with new functions. The new Windows should now receive the previously neglected support for USB 2.0 and Bluetooth.
At the moment, Windows XP can only get by with the Firewire (IEEE 1394) developed by Apple. Official USB 2.0 support will finally follow at the beginning of next year. Bluetooth support is planned for mid-2002. Until then, enough devices should be available that use the transmission technology.
