BIOS updates from Windows
With the new 1.2MB Express BIOS Update from Intel, you can update the BIOS of Intel VC820, D815EEA or MO810E from Windows. Ok, that's not really true: The tool closes Windows and updates the BIOS automatically.
In addition, the new BIOS for the VC820 now supports Rapid BIOS Boot (RBB), which means that the part of the boot process before the hard disk is accessed and Windows loading is shortened to 7 seconds. RBB is optimized for Windows Me and Inter claims the time it takes a WinMe PC to boot from 35 to 20 seconds. Windows 98 should boot in 45 seconds instead of over a minute. However, Intel hides which processor you are referring to.
