Battle for Napster: decision on February 12th
The music exchange platform Napster announced this morning that the court of appeal in the ninth judicial district in San Francisco will give its verdict on the Napster case tomorrow at 10 a.m. local time, i.e. at 8 p.m. German time. The decision should be available at http://www.ce9.uscourts.gov/at the same time. There are three possible decisions the court could make:
- Napster is convicted and has to cease operations
- the decision is adjourned and Napster will continue to run until this date
- The case will be returned to District Judge Patel to allow further hearings
After this message came out, the number of users per server rose to over 8,000 and the total offer to over 1.5 million files.
