AVM brings Bluetooth adapters for ISDN and DSL
At this year's CeBit, AVM is showing the combination of ISDN, DSL and Bluetooth in a Bluetooth USB device that weighs just 12 grams, called BlueFRITZ! This means that three important communication technologies are sensibly combined in one product.
The dimensions of 5.4 x 2.2 x 1.1 centimeters promise a device that is hardly bigger than a matchbox. A secure and standardized radio link with a range of up to 100 meters ensures data transmission. All ISDN applications such as Internet, PC fax, file transfer and remote access can thus be used flexibly and conveniently in the home or in the garden. BlueFRITZ! integrates data compression and channel bundling as standard. A Bluetooth starter package for wireless ISDN is due to go on sale this month. However, nothing is known about the planned price.
