ATi with its own Pentium 4 chipset
The mutual patent exchange agreement concluded in the past between Intel and ATi explicitly allows the graphics card manufacturer to develop a chipset with integrated graphics for the Pentium 4.
The chipset will probably use SDRAM memory and the Use Radeon core as graphics unit. This would make it a clear alternative to the chipset planned by Intel with the code name 'Brookdale'. ATi itself is more than covered about further details of the chip, but an appearance is strongly expected in the third or fourth quarter of 2001.
