ATI Radeon now also in 'LE' version

The graphics card manufacturer ATI is now releasing a lower clocked version of its high-end chip under the name Radeon 8500LE. At 250MHz it is clocked around 9% lower than the Radeon 8500, which clocks at 275MHz. ATI does not want to install this new chip itself, but rather to deliver it to third-party manufacturers. as far as the built-in memory is concerned, so that significantly cheaper versions with the new DirectX8 chip would be conceivable. For example, either slower or less memory can be installed. The worst alternative would be to slow down the Radeon 8500LE with SDR-SD-RAM, which the chip also supports.
