ATI included in the ARB

The current nine members of the ARB, the abbreviation for the 'OpenGL Architecture Review Board', have accepted ATI as full members. The graphics company was started in 1999, but only 'provisionally'.

The task of the ARB is to develop new standards for the OpenGL graphics interface, among other things. Since ATI contributed a lot to OpenGL, the company was made a permanent member by 3Dlabs, Compaq, Evans & Sutherland, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, Microsoft and SGI, the inventor of the API and founder of the ARB/p>
