Athlon XP 2000+ also appeared in Germany
After the first dealers in Japan had advertised the 2000+ version of the Athlon XP, which had not yet been officially presented by AMD, the CPU has now appeared in the catalog in Germany at least.
The Online shop alternate.de is now offering the processor for a price of 549 euros plus shipping costs. This means that the CPU is a whopping 33% more expensive than the Athlon XP 1900+, which is only four percent lower clocked. It is astonishing, however, that even the German branch does not yet want to know a unit price for a purchase of 1000 copies of the CPU, which is actually clocked at 1.66 GHz. If you believe alternate.de, the new AMD workhorse is already available.
