Asus V8440 TD and V8460 ultra TD in the test: Two 'Ti' tans among themselves

Giants + FSAA

Giants in its capacity as a low-FPS game, which is also CPU-limited, is of course ideally suited to convert the unrealizable extra performance of modern graphics cards into increased image quality .

With all my love, but in 1600x1200 4xFSAA is not an option even on the most modern GeForce4 cards. The frames break down too much to below 20 frames per second. Quincunx cannot necessarily be foreseen in terms of performance, but with Giants the blurring effect of this FSAA mode occurs particularly strongly, so that textures lose a lot of detail even in the near field of vision. There is still 2xFSAA as an alternative, which at least achieves reasonably playable frame rates on both Asus cards. With a GeForce4 Ti4200, no matter what version, it can get tight and therefore jerky.
