Quake 3 Arena and games based on this engine can rightly be counted among the most memory-intensive games. In Quake 3 Arena, the PC1066 Rambus could play a very important role, since it delivers 30 percent more data transfer than the PC800 Rambus and this is particularly valuable in Quake 3 Arena.

Erwar Both motherboards convert the PC1066 Rambus into frames in the very memory-intensive Quake 3 Arena and benefit at least 7 percent. But they also miss the PC1066's 30 percent performance increase in Quake 3 Arena.
