Asus announces graphics cards with Geforce 3 chip
Asus has announced two graphics cards with the GeForce 3 chip, the V8200 Pure and the V8200 Deluxe. As with the other GeForce 3 boards, the Asus chip runs at 200 MHz and the DDR SDRAM, which is 64 MB for both cards, runs at 460 MHz. The only difference between the two cards is their inputs and outputs.
The V8200 only has one VGA output, but is therefore cheaper than the Deluxe, which has a video input in addition to the VGA output and a TV output. The V8200 Deluxe should also come with 3D glasses. The new graphics cards should be available on the US market from around the beginning of April. The V8200 Pure costs $ 549 and the deluxe version $ 598. The boards will be presented for the first time at this year's CeBIT, and the new cards will also be available in Germany from mid-April.
