Asus announces A7V successor
The Taiwanese manufacturer Asus has announced the official successor to the A7V, the A7V133. In contrast to the previous version, the A7V133 is based on the newer Via chipset KT133A and thus supports a front side bus of 133MHz, as required by the new Athlon processors.
The mainboard offers five PCI slots, one AGP-Pro slot and four USB ports. The product is now available in Germany for around 390 marks. Optionally, the board should also offer a solution with an onboard Promise Raid Controller.
