Asus A7A266-E in the test: The 3rd generation of the ALi MAGiK 1

Scope of delivery and documentation

Copy & paste, we thought after the first look into the box. Because the bonus corresponds to the typical Asus repertoire. With two EIDE cables (1x ATA66/100, 1x ATA33), a floppy cable, an additional USB slot cover and the driver, basically nothing is left to be desired. In addition to the 'ALi Driver Package 1.04' (the counterpart to the VIA 4in1 drivers), the CD also includes the well-known software supplement from Asus PC Probe (similar to motherboard monitor), Asus Update, PC-cillin and shareware products from the company Cyberlink.

Asus A7A266-E

Unfortunately, so far we can only speculate about the scope and quality of the documentation. Our test copy did not come with a manual. An inquiry to our contact person at is already on the way, so that we will announce more details here soon.
