AOL blocks Trillian and promotes the AIM

The development of the messenger Trillians has shown itself to be a race in the last few weeks. A race with AOL. Because the client is able to imitate AOL's chat programs such as ICQ and the AIM and thus replace what has repeatedly moved AOL to block the current version from the network.

Even today, Trillian users can look forward to a new message when connecting to the AIM service. This informs the user that his program is an unauthorized version and that he should download the 'legal' version of AOL:

You have been disconnected from the AOL Instant Message Service (SM) for accessing the AOL network using unauthorized software. You can download a FREE, fully featured, and authorized client, here ( Link )

Whether it only stays with the current competition in the long term or the dispute turns into a legal conflict , will certainly show up in the near future. Thanks a lot to 'godkiller' for the tip.
