AMD introduces new processors
AMD today presented two new processors with which one wants to demonstrate once again the technical superiority over Intel. The new products are a 1.2GHz Athlon with a Thunderbird core and a Duron with a clock frequency of 800MHz.
Both do not differ in steppings from their predecessors and therefore have the same errors .
Both processors are intended for socket A and are used with the bad 100MHz FSB operated. Since the cooling of processors, especially models above 1GHz, is a major concern, AMD has published a list that provides information on which coolers are suitable up to which clock frequency.
