AMD increases CPU production

AMD wants to significantly increase the production of CPUs. This emerges from a report by xbit Labs, according to which the production of the Thunderbirds has already increased from 1.6 to 2.7 million units and Slot-A CPUs are to be taken off the market.

The production of the Duron has now been tripled. By the first quarter of 2001 there would be 5.5 million Duron CPUs produced. According to AMD, the K6 series, which is quite successful, has not yet been discontinued, but production has been reduced considerably.
