Alladin-P4 by the end of the month

As already officially announced in August, Acer Laboratories Inc. (ALi) will produce the first copies of their Pentium 4 chipset 'Aladdin-P4' towards the end of this month, at the latest in early November.

Mainboard manufacturers such as Asus and Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS), which received the first samples of the chip two months ago, will appear to be launching the first mainboards almost at the same time as production starts. However, ALi will initially keep the number of units relatively low, as the market position of the Pentium 4 has still not been consolidated according to company information. Mass production will therefore only begin after the competition from VIA and SiS.
