AGP 8X in progress
Some details about the future AGP 2.2 specification have been announced on the Intel Developer Pages. The main goal of the project called Beyond-AGP4X is therefore to increase the bandwidth between AGP and system bus to 2GB/s and between AGP and main memory to 3GB/s.
According to these values, it would have to be AGP 8X act. Further details will be presented this summer at the IDF 2000. They should then be realized in the first half of 2001.
