Addcom announces 24h flat rate

The Internet provider Addcom is terminating its flat rate customers on December 31, 2000 because the flat rate contract with the carrier is ending. Contrary to expectations, an extension of the flat rate contract was not possible.

This means that the last alternative to T-Online & AOL Flat is now a thing of the past. Addcom, which had already started in August with a private flat rate for 59 DM (18h-8h and the whole weekend), limited to 10,000 users, had to terminate them on September 30th, 2000 due to a warning from a competitor, but gave 5000 users the choice of the tariff for 79 DM into a full flat rate. So the termination affects 'only' 5000 users, much to my regret also me.
