Abit brings motherboards with an AMD 760 chipset
Abit only showed mainboards with the AMD 760 chipset at COMDEX, which were intended for OEMs. Nevertheless there will be 2 mainboards with this chipset that can be obtained in retail outlets.
These are the KG7 and the KG7-Raid. Both boards have the same features, the only difference is the raid controller on the KG7 raid. Some features of the two boards have already been announced: 3 DDR DIMM slots, 1 AGP 4x, 6 PCI and 1 ISA slot, SoftMenu III, which allows you to set the CPU voltage and the FSB (Front Side Bus ) in 1MHz steps and change the processor multiplier. If everything goes according to plan, the boards should be on the shelves of dealers in early 2001.
