3x GeForce4 Ti from Inno3D in the test: Cheaper range of models

In this test, we wanted to know how the retail version of Aquanox, which is increasingly included as a bundle with current graphics cards, can be played on these. As was to be expected, the average fps are significantly higher than with the heavily pixel and vertex shader-heavy Aquamark.

Fill rate and memory bandwidth seem to be in demand here, GeForce4 offers both Ti cards in huge numbers and so it is no wonder that the GeForce3 is clearly left behind by the two Ti 4200 cards. The Ti 4400 has no trouble converting its higher operating frequencies into performance and beats the GeForce3 inhigh resolutions by more than 50%.

Dungeon Siege

Another new benchmark and a premiere for us is the benchmarkable, patched version of the monster dead-click game Dungeon Siege by 'Gas Powered Games '. In an isometric top view you walk through a very detailed game world, slay dangerous monsters and collect treasures. Quite elaborate light and shadow effects are shown together with very pretty textures, especially on the detailed opponents.

Despite our strong CPU, this benchmark can only show differences between the graphics cards from Inno3D in relatively high resolutions, a perfect sacrifice for the idle performance in image enhancement how to invert anti-aliasing, as we'll see later. Despite the strong GeForce4 Ti chip, the Ti 4400 alone can almost maintain its initial performance even in the highest resolutions, while the budget models do not break in, but do show their limits.
