Comanche 4

Comanche 4 is also a fairly new game that uses excessive pixel shaders and a large number of polygons to represent the detailed landscape, as well as the beautifully animated water and reflective surfaces power. At an average of 30 fps, thePolygon throughput around 6 million per second, a feast for the TnL units.

Unfortunately, the default benchmark settings do not allow a resolution of 1152x864, so we simply added the next higher here, even if 1920x1440 is probably little used .

However, it was precisely in this resolution that the usefulness of 128MB graphics ram became apparent (if one can really still speak of usefulness in such an unrealistic resolution). We have also increased the memory rate of the Ti 4200-128 to that of the 64MB version. Even in the lowest resolution, a noticeable difference between 64 and 128MB can be seen.

Dronez Mark

The Dronezmark is included in the demo and in the full version of Dronez and is an OpenGL game, which is included as a bundle with some GeForce3/4 cards. The demo shows very remarkable effects, but the use of OpenGL extensions means that it is nVidia-optimized, which has no major influence in our test field.

Here, the almost doubled geometry performance of the Tornado GeForce4 seems very clear To withdraw cards. This is also supported by the clearer distances between the Ti 4400 and the two Ti 4200s than between the latter, despite the fairly linear increase in the memory clocks of 223MHz of the Ti 4200-128, via the Ti 4200-64 with 257MHz up to the 275MHz of the Ti 4400 .
