3.5 'floppy disks with 32MB capacity
While Matsushita-Kotobuki is already working on a 240MB floppy disk technology, Matsushita-Kotobuki will initially use existing devices. Matsushita-Kotobuki decided to drastically increase the storage density of conventional 3.5 'floppy disks so that they can hold up to 32MB.
The so-called FD32MB technology is to be used, which will also be used later The 240MB 'Super Disk' technology is to be used. The improved storage capacity is achieved by a 'Super Disk' magnetic head, which is responsible for writing the data, and a normal magnetic head, which reconstructs the data the data tracks are made smaller so that more tracks fit on one disc.
