1.3 GB CD blanks
The Dortmund-based company Disk4You wants to present blank CDs with 1.3 GByte or 120 minutes at CeBIT. The problem here is that the 99 minute blanks are already working far outside of the Red Book standard.
As a result, the tracks have to move closer together for 120 minutes and the last millimeter must also be burned over. Another problem is the physical implementation, for example the fine adjustment of the laser beam, and the burner software, which simply ignores times over 99 minutes. But they are still in good spirits and hope to be able to show compatible burners and the associated software at CeBIT.
