12 new graphics chips from nVidia in autumn

In the fall, Nvidia will fire off its next fireworks display of graphics chips with 12 new models, according to analyst Hans Mosesmann from San Francisco. It will mainly be about the new NV30, about which there are already some rumors.

Indeed Should you not put the number 12 on the gold scales, there were even 14 different models when the GeForce 4 was introduced, including the MX, Go and Quadro models. The main innovation is probably the introduction of AGP 8x, but the benefits remain controversial and Nvidia probably wants to draw level with the SiS Xabre for marketing reasons. According to Mosesmann, the chips at TSMC will be manufactured using 0.13µ technology, another clear indication of the NV30. From other sources at 3DCenter it was recently learned that Nvidia should also work on an NV28 chip, which, like the NV18, should have Firewire and AGP 8x. More detailed information about these chips will most likely be available at Computex.
